Positive tests: game of WWK volleys canceled

Actually, the WWK Volleys Herrsching would have received the United Volleys from Frankfurt for a duel in the Nikolaushalle on Saturday evening.

At least until the routine corona tests have been carried out before the game.

Herrsching - Corona has the volleyball Bundesliga firmly under control. Just one of the five scheduled games could be played at the weekend (Lüneburg - Giesen 3: 2). The other games (Herrsching - Frankfurt, Haching - Frankfurt, Königs Wusterhausen - Friedrichshafen and Berlin - Düren) were all canceled. The game of the WWK Volleys Herrsching against the United Volleys Frankfurt around Saturday morning, as positive results were found in the routine tests in the guests' team. The team that was already at the Ammersee immediately went into domestic isolation. A catch-up date has not yet been set.

The Hessians are already stressed about appointments. The league game at VfB Friedrichshafen is scheduled for next Saturday, and the CEV Cup games with Romanian champions Arcadi Galati are scheduled for January 18 and 20. Just two days later, on January 22nd, the intermediate round should begin. It should be tight with the catch-up game against Herrsching, since the United Volleys match scheduled for Sunday at TSV Haching Munich was canceled. And the game against the Berlin Recycling Volleys, originally scheduled for the end of December, still has to be played.

In view of these circumstances in the league, it is almost impressive that the WWK Volleys Herrsching have so far kept completely out of the corona turmoil.

All players and the coaching team are fully vaccinated and have so far been spared infections.

Everyone should get their booster vaccinations earlier this week.
