A 16-year-old teenager was fatally stabbed during a meeting with a group of young people on the night of Saturday to Sunday in Melun (Seine-et-Marne), where he had an appointment for a cell phone sale, a learned AFP from police sources close to the case.
At around 1 a.m., the boy and his father-in-law were present on Place Gallieni, opposite Melun station, for an appointment set via the leboncoin site, a police source told AFP.
The transaction involved a sale of a cell phone, said a source familiar with the matter.

There, they faced a group of young people who attacked the teenager.
He was stabbed in the back, according to the same source.
Despite the cardiac massages provided, the teenager died on the spot.
Her stepfather was slightly injured while intervening.
The circumstances of the drama are currently unclear.
"We do not know if it is a trade dispute that goes wrong or an ambush," commented the police source.
No one has been arrested at this stage, she said.
The victim is from Mée-sur-Seine, a town bordering Melun.
The investigation was entrusted to the judicial police of Versailles.
