Last night (Saturday), the police arrested a 42-year-old resident of Petah Tikva, on suspicion of committing indecent acts on his nine-year-old daughter and her friend.
The suspect's detention was extended this morning by two days in the Magistrate's Court in Petah Tikva.
At the end of last month, the Tel Aviv District Court convicted Yotam Okon of the offenses of raping a minor, indecent assault on a minor and indecent assault on a minor.
As part of a plea agreement reached by the parties, Adv. Rosie Kabaz, of the Tel Aviv District Attorney's Office (criminal), filed an amended indictment in which Yotam Okon admitted to sexual offenses against the minor.
Following this, Judge Benny Sagi convicted Okon of sexual offenses.
The parties reached agreements regarding the amount of compensation for the complainant, but did not reach agreements regarding the punishment.
According to the plea agreement, the sex offender will compensate the minor with NIS 200,000.
