A wrong-way driver was reported to the police on Friday on the A 8 motorway at the Taufkirchen junction.

- After 6 p.m., the operations center received several messages about the driver. On the Munich lane, the witnesses met an older, silver VW Polo. Despite immediately initiated search measures with several patrols from the police headquarters in Munich and Upper Bavaria South, the wrong-way driving car could no longer be seen. The officials assume that he had noticed his mistake in the meantime and left the motorway or turned around. This resulted in a considerable risk to people and property. Therefore, witnesses who can provide useful information to identify the wrong-way driver are asked to report to the Holzkirchen motorway police station (0 80 24/90 73-0) or any other police station.
