During the past year, the General Electricity Company in Al-Hasakah Governorate accomplished many maintenance and rehabilitation works for electrical transmission centers and networks with different capacities of low, medium and high tension, in addition to the frequent maintenance of electricity for the Allouk and Tel Tamer water stations, which are subjected to Turkish aggression from time to time.

The director of the company, Eng. Anwar Okla, said in a statement to SANA reporter that the maintenance work of electrical transmission centers in the cities of Hasaka, Qamishli and their countryside included 667 transmission centers, in addition to the rehabilitation and maintenance of low networks with a length of 66.3 km, while the length of the medium network that was maintained reached 25 km, in addition to maintaining 230 high-voltage lines. Okla pointed out that the company maintains transmission centers and networks despite the difficulties encountered in the work, the most important of which is the weak collection of taxation for the public and private sectors and the accumulation of debts on them as a result of renting electrical energy, amounting to about 20 billion Syrian pounds, and the company’s need to pay part of these debts in order to secure and purchase spare parts and special supplies.
