More than twenty years ago, Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah delivered a speech known as the "Spider Web Speech." To me, this is a groundbreaking speech in understanding Israel's opponents' updated perception of its power and the paradox of national resilience it embodies in the 21st century

. Nasrallah's spider web theory makes a distinction between the military power of an Israeli as a power and the continued slack and erosion in the resilience of Israeli society. In inverse proportion to the growing readiness and relentless intensification of the IDF in preparing for a regional conflict, Israeli society, seven, tired of wars and less willing to pay the price of a conflict for its existence, independence and protection of its vital interests. We will play to dimensions that pose a real danger to Israel's ability to survive in space.

The widening of the social gap, the decline in the value of statehood, the widening of the legitimacy of independent streams alienated from the state and its institutions, the decline in participation and recruitment for compulsory service - all of these have a contributing effect on the decline in Israeli society's resilience.

Alongside these are ongoing processes of loss of a common denominator, the occupation, the weakening of Israeli democracy and global processes of alternative reality, materialism and escapism, loss of sources of authority and reliance and a Pike culture that weakens already developed democracies.

In the defense system, there is a deep understanding of the decline in the company's absorption capacity.

The conduct of Israeli society during two years of a global epidemic is a huge, bright and painful warning sign for the continued weakening of the resilience of large sections of Israeli society. Realistic, supervised and verified scenarios of the security danger in an era of multiple missiles herald the extent of damage and casualties in the home front, such as Israel has never known. In this scenario, Israel will win a significant victory, but the extent of the damage to the home front will be painful both in human life and in infrastructure.

The defense establishment has a deep understanding of the decline in the absorption capacity of Israeli society.

This has been reflected in all of Israel's entrepreneurial actions over the past fifteen years and makes it very difficult for the political echelon to reach a decision and embark on proactive operations from two realities in Gaza, the West Bank and Lebanon.

Israel is investing endless budgets in creating a multi-dimensional defense dome whose entire purpose is to bring, in the event of a conflict, a longer breathing space in the home front - all at the cost of incessant and scandalous damage to the investment required in society, education, health and welfare services.

Needless to say, the marginal profit from this investment will not prevent the collapse of civil society, which is showing declining resilience.

The corona, although not a local event, exposed the great vulnerability of Israeli society.

This is a difficult and serious strategic recognition that will have a dramatic impact on the conduct of the country's captains in the future.

The inability of Israeli society to deal with a crisis on a small scale, low ability to adapt to changing situations, deep submission to disinformation, politicization of the situation to the point of loss of judgment, and significant loss of proportions to the contempt of reality and description in terms of chaos and home destruction. All this is about a global event, which is under relatively controlled control, with a continuous scope of casualties, for two years, of less than half of what is expected in one day of a missile attack on Israel.

This description is exacerbated by the fact that in Corona the supply chain was not damaged, traffic arteries were not damaged, water and electricity services did not collapse, the media operated as a series without restrictions and without censorship with full access to data and events, and no hospital reached failure. We were not required for mass burial and thousands of people were not declared missing from the collapse of towers in the heart of Israel's metropolis. An event is controlled without realization, even of a single, microscopic scenario, of what is about to happen to us in the event of a significant natural disaster (earthquake for example) or, God forbid, a missile attack on Israel.

Israel has become a weak, embarrassed, trailing society and mostly escapes a challenge. The expectation of absolute certainty, the relinquishment of entrepreneurship, the ability to organize oneself and locally and the development of complete dependence on others - all these are worrying signs, symptoms of a deep and fundamental crisis.

Nasrallah kindly described our cobwebs.

What was true at the turn of the century has intensified sharply in the two decades since.

Security equipment, expansion of attack ranges and high technology - all of these will not close the cultural, value and psychological gaps that have been established within Israeli society.

This challenge begs for a leadership that will take responsibility and challenge Israeli society on the way to the recognition that a deep inner decision is required here on the questions of coexistence in this part of God.
