A call for a national strike for Thursday was launched at the end of last week by the Snuipp-FSU, the first union of primary teachers, and the SE-Unsa in the face of "
the indescribable mess
" of the new health protocol implemented in schools to counter the rise of the Omicron variant. The Snuipp-FSU was joined by the other teachers' unions, SE-Unsa, Snes-FSU, Snalc, CGT Educ'action, SUD Education, FO and CFDT, who face the Minister of Education, Jean-Michel Blanquer . Teachers have until Monday evening to declare themselves on strike.
Since the start of the school year on January 3, students must be tested three times in four days if a positive case is detected in their class, a puzzle for many parents and pharmacies, taken by storm for a week.
An update of the health protocol has since been carried out: students no longer have to complete a new complete course if a new positive case appears in their class within less than seven days.
