The Syrian Arab Red Crescent, in cooperation with the Directorate of Agriculture in Lattakia, began distributing a grant of wheat seed and fertilizers to farmers in a number of villages in the countryside of the governorate.
The Director of Agriculture in Lattakia, Eng. Basem Doba, explained to SANA reporter that the grant was distributed in the village of Bayader Al-Durra, which is affiliated with the extension unit in the village of Basta, and it consisted of 200 kg of soybean seeds of Sham 5 wheat, in addition to 150 kg of superphosphate fertilizer for each beneficiary, indicating that the selection of the beneficiaries was done through He accepted committees in each village, which are composed of the head of the relevant guidance unit, the head of the agricultural association, the village mayor, and the secretary of the party group.
Doba explained that this grant targets 1,000 farmers in the Al-Haffah area within the scope of work of 6 extension units covering 28 villages where wheat cultivation is concentrated, and the distribution will be successively to the rest of the villages in coordination with the Red Crescent.
