First Ride: Triumph Trident 660

2022-01-10T05:57:10.547Z

Triumph in Israel with a variety of bitter motorcycles and a compatible price range. We took the cheapest on offer for a first ride.

The motorcycle market is full of impressive, special and very expensive motorcycles.

Seemingly a very small wisdom, to offer a world and its fullness in a dog whose cost scratches the NIS 200,000 line.

But what is happening in more popular, more basic districts.

Those in which the majority of the rider population can live, buy, ride.

Great question.

In these places, say 70,000 shekels, there are occasional flashes.

But most motorcycles at this price level usually manage to bring a riding package, which does not exceed the sum of its relatively basic components.

Big surprises, except in isolated cases, are not here.

The Triumph Trident is an unpretentious motorcycle, one that is at the bottom of the company's model list in Israel.

In honor of the start of this activity here, we actually took it for a first ride.

The main reason here is the price of the sale. Let it be sold for NIS 62,000 now, compared to its full price of NIS 75,000.

The Trident offers fairly simple assemblies.

Tube chassis, inverted but unadjusted front suspension, spring load change to said basic rear shock absorber.

There is ABS and a traction control system here but none of these are of the sophisticated variety or represent the latest in the field.

The 660 cc three-cylinder engine offers 80 hp and the total weight is 189 kg.

Despite the basic data sheet, the Triumph turns out to be a fun and loyal companion in a wide variety of missions. It feels small, narrow and easy to hug, such that it is no problem to encounter crowded traffic in a suffocated city. All control levers are very natural and the engine feels flexible and does not force the rider to play at high rpm. Leaving the city reveals that whoever actually speeds towards it at the same RPM will discover an engine full of character, which enjoys a five-digit RPM. The origin of this engine, unlike the other Triumph models, in the old Daytona 675, here it aims to achieve less power as mentioned, compared to 123 hp in the original motorcycle, but the racer character is certainly preserved.

This engine, aided by a smart transmission transmission in low gears, certainly produces interest and acceleration there as the behavior completes it.

As long as the road surface is in reasonable condition this Triumph shows light and super-precise driving, excellent attachment of the wheels to the ground and quite a bit of confidence.

In places like this it completely manages to produce a riding experience that is worth more than its price.

Rough roads will make him move more, and lose some of the serenity he produces.

Triumph Trident completely manages to produce a different riding experience even when it relies on its relatively simple assemblies.

It does this thanks to its light-hearted behavior and also thanks to the unique engine sounds produced by the triple at a volume of 660 cc.

Hence it is definitely a fresh breeze, for those who are looking for a road motorcycle, use on the one hand and enjoy the weekend on the other, without breaking the bank.
