Several accidents on Monday morning led to significant traffic delays in rush hour traffic on the A 8 and A 99.
Dachau - Around 6 a.m., a 62-year-old from Munich suddenly braked his Nissan on the A 99 in the direction of Lindau shortly after the Allach tunnel, almost to a standstill for no apparent reason.
An Italian tractor-trailer hit the Nissan with considerable force.
The Nissan driver could only be freed from the badly deformed vehicle with the help of the fire brigade.
He suffered severe head injuries and was taken to a Munich clinic.
The A 99 had to be closed first, which led to the closure of the Aubing tunnel.
A few minutes later another accident occurred at the end of the Allach tunnel, in which a truck with a trailer overlooked a car while changing lanes to the right and collided with it.
Nobody was injured in the process, but the Allach tunnel in the direction of Salzburg had to be temporarily closed.
At 8:10 am there was a crash in the backwater in front of the Allach tunnel.
And at 8:15 a.m., the fourth accident occurred.
On the A 8 motorway in the direction of Munich, a truck driver from Baden-Württemberg overlooked that the furniture truck from the Aichach district had to slow down and drove onto it.
Nobody was injured here either.
However, the trucks blocked one lane until they were recovered.
The congestion lasted until around 9:30 a.m.
