The police discovered a good 100 people on Sunday night in an ICE tunnel: The illegal party near Bad Honnef was ended.

A short time later, the federal police discovered around 100 people celebrating in a supply tunnel on the ICE line.

The police noticed the music during a patrol on the night of Sunday (January 9th) around 12:30 a.m.

Their assumption: Since they heard the noises near a supply tunnel of the ICE high-speed line, they suspected an illegal party.

A few weeks earlier, the rave had already been celebrated there.

Around 100 people celebrated in the tunnel, and a music and lighting system was also set up.

"The officers managed to prevent 36 people from fleeing," it says.

Their identities were established and the people were also searched.

Among other things, crystal meth, amphetamines and marijuana were discovered.

High-speed route Cologne - Rhine / Main

The high-speed route connects Cologne via Bonn / Siegburg, Montabaur, Limburg and Frankfurt Airport with Frankfurt.

Deutsche Bahn ICEs can travel on the route at speeds of up to 300 km / h.

The travel time between Cologne Central Station and Frankfurt Central Station is just over an hour.

The supply tunnel is a shaft for construction and maintenance work.

This had been broken into, said a police spokeswoman.

According to the police, a 19-year-old and a 17-year-old from Cologne could be found as the organizers of the illegal party.

"It is unclear whether the two have not thought about the dangers that await them and their guests in the railway area," said the police.

Administrative offense proceedings have been initiated for violations of the Corona Protection Ordinance and criminal proceedings for violations of the Narcotics Act.

The celebrants now expect high fines.

The police have little understanding for those partying on the ICE route: "The federal police expressly point out the dangers to life from passing trains and also possible flashovers."
