The Associate Director of Damascus Countryside Health, Dr. Iyad Taijin, confirmed that the number of Corona vaccine recipients in the governorate is increasing, and the turnout has increased by about 60 percent over the last period.
In a statement to SANA, Taijin said that the increase in the number of vaccine recipients is noticeable in the health centers that provide vaccine services through the 60 mobile teams.
The head of the vaccine program in the Damascus Countryside Health Directorate, Dr. Akram Maatouq, indicated that the demand for corona vaccine increased since the beginning of last December, pointing out that the side effects monitoring program did not record any serious effect of the vaccine or cases that required hospitalization.
During the presence of a mobile team in the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor to complement the visits of ministries and directorates to immunize those wishing against the Corona virus, Rasha Aldo stated that she was keen to take the vaccine in order to preserve her safety and the safety of her family.
While Khader Al-Maslouh indicated that direct contact with the auditors prompted him to want to obtain the vaccine to ensure his safety and not to transmit the infection to his family.
Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Muhammad Seif El-Din confirmed the ministry's interest in vaccinating its cadres and employees of the directorates and institutions affiliated with it. It also called on NGOs to request the vaccination card from the beneficiaries of their services and to raise awareness in this regard.
