The Kazakh official authorities announced control of the situation throughout the country and arrested about 8 thousand participants in the recent events, as the damages to the country were estimated at about 215 million dollars.
The Russia Today website quoted the National Security Committee that the situation in Kazakhstan is stable and under control, and terrorist threat centers have been neutralized. It said, “As of today, the situation in the Republic of Kazakhstan has stabilized and is under control, terrorist threat centers have been neutralized, all administrative facilities have been controlled, and the security of strategic installations has been ensured. Especially important, and places where weapons and ammunition are stored.”
In turn, the Ministry of Interior announced that it had arrested about 8,000 armed men as a result of the events, noting that the police and security forces had seized and confiscated the weapons and equipment in their possession, which they had looted.
In terms of damages, the National Chamber of Businessmen stated that the value of the damages caused by the riots in the country amounted to about $215 million.
The Collective Security Treaty Organization had sent peacekeeping forces to Kazakhstan with the aim of protecting the country's administrative and diplomatic buildings and helping the army maintain law and order, while Kazakhstan's Deputy Defense Minister Lieutenant-General Sultan Jamal Aldinov announced yesterday that the situation in his country is stable and under control.
In a related context, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said today before an extraordinary session of the Collective Security Council of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, "All events since the beginning of this year are episodes of one chain that are subject to a destructive plan that was coordinated in one center and took a long time to prepare," noting that the forces The destroyer made repeated attempts to destabilize and stir up unrest in Kazakhstan and this was resolutely intercepted.
