Actually, the community of Andechs would have wanted to carry out a vaccination campaign for the Christmas market.
However, as is well known, the Christmas market was canceled, and with the BRK, which would have come to the Holy Mountain on this date, no new joint date could be found.
So Mayor Georg Scheitz said to himself: "Then we'll just do it ourselves." Last Saturday the time had come - without the BRK.
"A great action," says Scheitz happily.
Andechs -
The Mayor of Andechs was able to rely on the support of Dr. Verena Herold count. The doctor shares a group practice for internal and general medicine with Dr. Rike Berhalter and Dr. Andreas Pohl in Herrsching. Verena Herold herself lives in Erling, was born and raised there. “An Andechser Kindl”, Scheitz is happy, because that's how the contact came about and ultimately the idea of offering a vaccination in the fire station on Steinrinnenweg in Erling. Verena Herold was able to rely on the support of her doctor colleagues from Herrsching, who actively supported her on Saturday.
Of the 120 possible appointments, 90 could assign. Most of them received a booster vaccination, only a few received a second vaccination. In addition, Verena Herold was happy about four first vaccinations. In an interview with the Starnberg Merkur, Scheitz is satisfied. The mayor himself was the first to have himself "boosted" on Saturday and was pleased that residents from the refugee accommodation were also registered to receive a second vaccination or "boost". While all firefighters had received a booster three weeks ago in a separate campaign, Scheitz said, there was no question for them to still make the rooms available and take care of the registration.
Most of the work, praised the doctor, was done in advance by Stephanie Widera in the town hall.
Because syringes are drawn up quickly, but the allocation of the five-minute appointments is much more time-consuming, according to Verena Herold.
The mayor's assistant did a great job.
Verena Herold herself and her colleagues couldn't just put their hands back on their laps after the three-hour campaign, since every vaccination has to be precisely documented and reported to the Robert Koch Institute.
It went on for a few more hours.
But the effort was worth it, "there were a lot of happy faces," she says.
