This ranking places Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappé and Karim Benzema on the podium of the most searched personalities on the web in 2021. Messi is clearly the player of the year on the web with 6,120,000 searches in August alone. during his transfer to PSG.
Football has 6 representatives in the top 10. The 4 other sportsmen in this top 10 are tennis players, with Djokovic, Nadal, Federer, and… Stefanos Tsitsipas, the most popular on the Next-Gen web, far ahead of the number 2nd in the world, Daniil Medvedev (29th, 80.100) or Hugo Gaston, first French tennis player in the ranking (41st, 63.030).
