The planned increase in parking fees in Munich has met with criticism.
CSU boss Manuel Pretzl speaks of a quick shot, the Chamber of Crafts in Munich and Upper Bavaria even of anti-business policies.
Munich - The Chamber of Crafts in Munich and Upper Bavaria and the CSU city council group criticize the plans of the Greens and the SPD to increase parking fees for craftsmen and traders.
“They have to park on site in order to be able to do their work for customers,” says CSU boss Manuel Pretzl.
"So this measure has no steering effect, but acts like an ill-considered quick shot."
CSU boss Manuel Pretzl: "Discuss parking fees based on pollutant emissions"
An increase in costs beyond 150 percent for the individual companies is in no way related.
In addition, the financial benefit of the increase in parking fees for the city of Munich is very manageable.
"We consider it more sensible and sustainable to discuss the parking fees based on the pollutant emissions of the respective car."
As reported, the Greens and the SPD want, among other things, to increase the fees for a craftsman parking permit from 265 to 720 euros per year.
“The decisions of the city's top make it increasingly difficult for our companies to carry out their activities,” says Chamber of Crafts President Franz Xaver Peteranderl.
Under the guise of environmental and climate protection, an ideological and increasingly anti-business policy is being pursued at the expense of the craftsmen.
In the meantime, Munich is not surprisingly one of the German cities in which parking fees are the highest *:
Chamber of Crafts: "Parking in public spaces must be significantly more expensive"
The chamber has been suggesting for some time that the available space in Munich should be better used in order to be able to maintain the flow of traffic.
“For this, parking in public spaces must be made significantly more expensive.
The costs for a parking permit for private residents should be based on market prices and staggered from the city center to the outskirts. "
The Greens and the SPD have also increased the costs for private parking permits, but the Free State would first have to issue an ordinance.
That has not happened yet.
A few weeks ago, an urgent warning caused a sensation: A 500 hp bulldozer is supposed to roll over parked cars *.
