The Ministry of Health today (Monday) introduced new guidelines for home antigen tests, with the aim of increasing their effectiveness.
Under the new guidelines, users are asked to be tested three days after exposure to a verified patient, using a first sample from the throat and then from one of the nostrils - from the same stick.
The ministry clarified that things are only relevant to the vaccinated or recovering, since all others do not perform a home antigen test.

This is due to the rapid spread of corona morbidity in the fifth wave of the disease.
The Ministry of Health announced this morning that 21,500 Israelis have been diagnosed in the last day as positive for Corona.
This is another record since the outbreak of the plague.
The rate of positive tests also continues to rise and stands at 12.2%.
The adhesion coefficient of 1.95.
10% of the new infections are Israelis who have already recovered from Corona or been vaccinated as required.
Ilana Gens, a representative of the Ministry of Health, said today in the Constitution Committee that there has been "an alarming increase in the number of seriously hospitalized people - we stand at over 1,200 hospitalized patients, of whom close to 220 are seriously ill."
"The high number of verified ones is what produces this growth. Delta's share is still doing its job, in parallel with the damage to the Omicron," she said.
