Saudi Arabia has been trying for years to deal with the actions of the "Young Believers" terrorist organization • Israel can enter the equation based on a common interest in weakening the Shiite-Iranian axis of which the Houthis are undoubtedly a part • Israel's time for Israel to reach out

For years, Saudi Arabia has been trying to deal with the actions of the "young believers" terrorist organization - the Houthis from Yemen.

In 2015, Saudi Arabia invaded Yemen, led by a coalition of Arab states, in an attempt to repel pro-Iranian rebels, backed by the Quds Force of the Revolutionary Guards.

But since then, the Saudis have had to deal with domestic terrorism.

Every few days, the international or Arab media reports another attack - on the shipping lanes, from the air and also on land.

Just about a week ago, Saudi Arabia accused the rebels of hijacking a ship carrying medical equipment.

The terrorist organization confirmed the takeover, claiming that not only bandages, iodine and drugs were there, but also military equipment.

Against the backdrop of the historical tension between the Sunnah and Shia, and along with the events that made Yemen Iran's training ground, the Houthis are not sick by any means.

They launched missiles against a variety of targets, from workshops, through airports to oil facilities.

In fact, some 1,300 surface-to-surface missiles and UAVs have been launched into the kingdom since the intervention in the Yemeni civil war began, and the young believers manage to create noise and anxiety in the Sunni state as a mature and well-run terrorist organization.

The Houthi attacks are only part of the picture.

Even on the foreign relations level, Saudi Arabia is facing very complex challenges.

In the U.S. there are Republican and Democratic politicians who oppose the supply of American weapons to Saudi Arabia, in part because of the dire humanitarian situation Yemen has been in since 2015, which is likely also a result of the deployment of Saudi military capabilities, some of which it received from Washington.

It is at this point that Israel can enter the equation.

Not by supplying weapons on the visible plane, but on the basis of a common interest in weakening the Shiite-Iranian axis of which the Houthis are undoubtedly a part.

Over the years, Israel has assisted various Arab countries secretly or through intermediaries, and even now, it can find a way to do so.

Who knows - you might even get something back.

After all, even in the signing of the agreements of Avraham Fantaz, the Israeli public on the Mansaf Briad.

It seemed to be just around the corner, with reports of Netanyahu meeting with the US-mediated Saudi heir.

But the Saudis are not the Emirates or Morocco, and they have a real commitment to the Palestinians.

Perhaps precisely now, when it is suffering severe blows in the domestic arena and in the face of challenges in the foreign relations arena, it is time for Israel to reach out, and perhaps also to reach the path of normalization with another Arab country.
