Russian President Vladimir Putin stressed that the attack on Kazakhstan is an act of aggression and it was necessary to respond to it without delay, noting that some external and internal forces took advantage of the economic situation in this country to achieve their goals.

According to the Russia Today website, Putin said during an extraordinary virtual session of the Collective Security Council of the Collective Security Treaty Organization today that the Collective Security Treaty Organization was able to take important measures to prevent the deterioration of the situation in Kazakhstan and that it took the necessary decision at the specified time, pointing out that the organization’s forces will remain in this country for a period determined by his presidency.

Putin considered that the events in Kazakhstan are not the first attempt and will not be the last for external interference, stressing that the countries of the Collective Security Treaty Organization have shown that they will not allow "color revolutions."

He pointed out that these events confirm that some forces do not hesitate to use cyberspace and social networks to recruit extremists and terrorists and form sleeper cells of militants.

The countries of the Collective Security Treaty Organization announced sending peacekeeping forces to Kazakhstan after a request from its president, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, to help his country overcome what he described as a "terrorist threat".
