The Foreign Minister of Bolivia, Rogelio Mayta, tested positive for covid-19 and is stable with mild symptoms, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported this Monday.

In a statement, the agency said that the official underwent a PCR test before leaving the city of Buenos Aires to continue with his international agenda.
Mayta participated in the XXII Summit of Foreign Ministers of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC), which was held in the Argentine capital.
"Following the norms on the matter, Minister Mayta is currently isolated and has received medical attention to monitor his health," he added.
Finally, he thanked the Argentine government for the care provided.
