Li Huiqiong of the DAB was successfully re-elected as the chairman of the internal committee, and Chen Jianbo of the insurance sector was re-elected as the chairman of the Finance Committee.

The Legislative Council Secretariat stated that the nomination period for the chairman and deputy chairman of the House Committee and the Finance Committee for the 2022 session ends at 5:00 pm today (10th).
Only one valid nomination has been received for the positions of Chairman and Vice-Chairman of the House Committee. Li Huiqiong will be re-elected as the Chairman of the House Committee for the new session, and Jie Ma Fengguo will be elected as the Vice-Chairman, which is the same as the previous session.
In addition, the chairman and vice-chairman of the Finance Committee also have only one valid nomination each.
All four positions were automatically elected without competition. Therefore, the Secretariat announced that the Finance Committee meeting scheduled for Wednesday (12th) and the meeting to elect the new chairman and vice-chairman of the committee were cancelled.
