Just ten years ago, Free created a small revolution in the world of mobile telephony by launching its offer: a package at 19.99 euros and another at 2 euros. A decade later, the telecoms troublemaker has calmed down a bit, but continues to agitate the market with his commercial offers ... and his offbeat humor. In a video posted on Twitter, Xavier Niel puts himself in the role of a president “
not normal, without Rolex, nor hidden girl. I won't find you a job just crossing the street, but when I make a promise I keep it. (...) I promise you again not to increase the price of the ski passes (...). Freedom. Equality. Unchanged prices
... "As serious as a Pope, in a jacket and tie, Xavier Niel gives a presidential speech lasting one and a half minutes, until the final little sentence:"
communicate without getting fucked
"(sic).
To celebrate the ten years of Free Mobile, Xavier Niel is increasing the amount of data available in his package to 19.99 euros per month, to increase it to 210 GB per month in 5G, automatically.
The operation is done at no additional cost for Free subscribers and for new subscribers.
This practice goes against what its competitors are doing, which associates the increase in the volume of data available in mobility with an increase of 2 to 5 euros per month in the price of the package.

The operator is also launching a promotion aimed at new subscribers, for one week.
From January 10 to 18, the Free series with 100 GB of data (+ 10 GB of roaming) is at 10.90 euros per month for 1 year (then Free 5G package at 19.99 euros).
In addition, there are promotions on the price of certain smartphones and a contest on social networks from January 10 to 14 with 10 5G smartphones to be won.
In ten years of existence, Free Mobile has conquered 13.5 million customers.
But after a fanfare debut, the operator is leveling off.
To revive the machine, it relies both on the values that have made it successful (the simplicity of its offer and attractive prices) and on its network.
In its early days, it depended mainly on the Orange network.
It now has 21,600 antennas.
