Get vaccinated at midnight, after work or on a whim: in Corsica, it is now possible to receive a booster dose or a first injection of the Covid-19 vaccine at any time of the day and night.
Managed by SOS Médecins, the first center in France open 24 hours a day was inaugurated last Saturday in Sarrola-Carcopino, on the outskirts of Ajaccio, in a very busy industrial and commercial area.
During the first 24 hours, the Sarrola-Carcopino center carried out 130 injections, including a dozen primary vaccinations.
Ten people came during the night.
"A young man who delivers meals at home came after his deliveries, around midnight, for his first injection,"
testifies Dr Camille Sciarli, one of the two doctors at the center.
We noticed that the center attracted a young population.
Some went home after dinner, others enjoyed having Sundays to rest.
