Free treatment services for patients three years ago, provided by the Center for Early Detection of Hearing Impairment in Children in Al-Hasakah Governorate, at its headquarters located in the ear clinic in the General Authority of Qamishli National Hospital, using the aural audio transmission device, which is the only one in Al-Hasakah governorate.
In a statement to SANA reporter, Dr. Omar Al-Akoub, Director-General of Qamishli National Hospital, stated that the examination is carried out by trained medical cadres who participated in the workshops implemented in cooperation between the Ministry of Health and the International Organization (Amal), where hearing examination is conducted for premature children up to the age of five years, in addition to the implementation of the center Lectures and seminars to raise awareness of the importance of early hearing screening for children.
Nouri Al-Hassan indicated that the General Authority is the only health institution in Al-Hasakah governorate that owns the audio-audio transmitter located in the ear clinic, where the case is diagnosed and re-examined after a month to make sure that there are no hearing problems among the attending children, pointing out The purpose of the survey is early diagnosis and early treatment, because the delay in detecting the hearing problem affects the child's adaptation to society, which in the event of neglect could become a dilemma for the parents.
Al-Hassan added that the survey achieves three important things to solve the problem: examination, diagnosis, and then treatment during the first six months of life. their children and to ensure the safety of hearing to prevent any disability.
The audiological survey center at the ear clinic contributes to providing a free hearing examination service for children on a daily basis from eight o'clock until the end of official working hours and receives all cases.
