The police said that in response to traffic violations, from January to December 2021, Yau Tsim Police District issued a total of 21,0795 fixed penalty notices and recorded 9,370 driver violations.

Yesterday (10th), Yau Tsim Police District launched the operation code-named "MOVESKY" to crack down on illegal parking at black spots in the district. A total of 1,353 fixed penalty notices, 2 traffic summonses and 10 vehicles were towed away. Vehicles causing serious traffic obstruction; at the same time, mobile video enforcement was carried out at various traffic black spots in the district, focusing on cracking down on illegal acts that blocked traffic. A total of 105 illegal vehicles were recorded.


The police continued to point out that the Yau Tsim Police District will continue to carry out key traffic enforcement measures to crack down on illegal parking at various black spots in the district (such as Canton Road in Tsim Sha Tsui, New Reclamation Street in Yau Ma Tei, Guolan, and streets in the West Kowloon Cultural District).

In addition to ticketing illegal parking drivers without any warning, officers will also tow away vehicles that are unattended and cause serious obstruction on the road without prior warning and notice.
