The new Syrian social series “Hawazeek Vase of Gharba” is a new dramatic work that is currently being filmed in the city of Damascus, starring elite art stars in Syria, written by Ziad Sari and directed by Rashad Kokash.
The series, produced by Apamea Art Production, revolves around the story of a family that was forced by war and economic conditions to rent a hotel called Gharba Vase, to begin with different stories with various dramatic paintings of a separate type.
During a meeting with media professionals to introduce the work and its stars, it was hosted by the Ornina Hotel in Old Damascus, in the presence of a large group of young and old stars. Director Kokash explained in a statement to SANA reporter that the work, which consists of 30 episodes, is distinguished by its presentation of human models that we see daily in our lives and represent our current reality after the war without Direct lighting.
Kokash pointed out that he chose the text written by Ziad Sari because it is a contemporary work and came after reviewing some episodes expressing his admiration for the work people and this family whose life intersects with our reality and embraces an old man who has left his country and returned to him alone to search for his son.
Regarding the name of the work, Kokash explained that Hawaziq refers to a health condition that affects humans, which is hiccups, and it can generate funny or annoying reactions.
Among the heroes of the work, the star Wael Ramadan pointed out that the work team seeks to present a good series with its episodes and its performance through old and young stars, indicating that it is between social and comedic in some of his paintings, leaving the judgment on the work to the viewers when it is shown.
The main roles in the work are played by Salma Al-Masry, Osama Al-Romani, Suzan Najm Al-Din, Amal Arafa, Shukran Murtaja, Ayman Reda, Ola Al-Basha, Fateh Salman and Zina Barafi.
