Robert Durst, the American multi-millionaire who ran a life sentence for murder in California and was the main suspect in two other murders, died in prison at the age of 78 - his lawyer said yesterday (Monday).
Drest was the star of HBO's documentary "The Jinx," in which he indicted himself as the killer of his girlfriend and spokeswoman Susan Berman.
"What the hell did I do? I killed everyone, of course," he said when recorded unknowingly.

He was convicted of Berman's murder last September - six years after that incriminating recording - and sentenced to life without the possibility of pardon.
In October it was reported that Drest was hooked up to a respirator, after being infected with corona.
As mentioned, Drest is suspected of committing two more murders - of his wife Cathy Drest and of his neighbor Maurice Black. His wife's body has not been found since her traces disappeared in 1982 until today.
