The Berlin Carnival of Cultures will also be canceled this year due to the pandemic.
Usually hundreds of thousands of people celebrate on the streets of the capital.
The event has now been canceled for the third time.
"The chances of a pandemic-compliant event at Whitsun, whether centralized or decentralized, are assessed by those responsible for all disciplines rather poorly," announced the organizers on Tuesday.
Berlin - Due to the spread of the coronavirus, rules still apply to events, for example to keep a distance or to organize access.
The carnival was canceled in 2020.
In 2021, the organizers were still hoping to be able to offer smaller events as replacements, but that too was ultimately canceled.

"Those responsible do not want to risk another short-term cancellation," the message said.
The repeated failure is of course "a heavy blow" for the groups involved in the move, the artists and the people in Berlin.
This year should now be used to rethink the concept of carnival.
A “new vision” should be developed, also in cooperation with the Senate Culture Administration.

The 2022 Carnival will not take place.
It is true that a realignment will be discussed together.
"Covid-19 has changed life and society, and Berlin is also a different city than it was 25 years ago," said the organizers' announcement.
If there is a realignment, these aspects would have to be included in the discussion.
The compulsory break should be used creatively, said event manager Nadja Mau, who will be relinquishing the post.
Advice should now be given, among other things, to those involved, residents and authorities.
