Fürstenfeldbruck - 150 counter-demonstrators stood on the Volksfestplatz for around 700 so-called "walkers" on the Volksfestplatz with their posters. For the fourth time, on a Monday in the district town, the walkers were out and about to demonstrate against the Corona measures, but this time for the first time citizens had organized to counter demo. The police were heavily involved and called the evening “largely trouble-free from the police point of view”.

While only about two dozen people took part in the first “walk”, the second time there were around 250 who walked from the Volksfestplatz to the city center - mostly quietly and with candles or lanterns.

According to the police, around 700 people, most of them without masks and observing minimum distances, carried out their protest march through the city center at the event that was not registered.

“During the elevator, officials repeatedly intervened communicatively and pointed out that the distance rules were being observed.

In the course of the unannounced meeting, a 22-year-old woman from Munich was noticed, whose identity was determined after damage to property, ”reports Chief Police Officer Nina Vallentin.

The meeting point for the registered counter demo was the “Klubhouse” bar on Leonhardsplatz.

The event was organized by clubhouse owner and city councilor Florian Weber.

He announced that he had mobilized friends and acquaintances.

They stand for the opposite of what the lateral thinkers stand for, said Weber, before about 30 people set off over the Amperbrücke, main street to the Volksfestplatz.

There the group of unconventional thinkers opponents, including several city councilors and Mayor Erich Raff, had grown to a good 150.

"Actually, I didn't want to come," said Raff, but then he decided to support his city council colleague. With their posters, the counter-demonstrators formed a trellis on both sides, through which the approximately 700 anti-vaccination opponents marched peacefully this time as well. Only a very few opponents of vaccination stopped and discussed with those in favor of the vaccination. Everyone expressed their point of view objectively and without excitement.

“Vaccination for all of us” or “Courage to vaccinate so that concerts can take place again”, or “Vaccination protects you from infections - solidarity only for those who cannot be vaccinated”, City Councilor Alexa Zierl demanded on her poster or Weber's slogan “Please get vaccinated - I want to reopen my restaurant and welcome you as guests ”. “What is your proposal to contain the pandemic worldwide?” The slogans on the posters were like that. In complete contrast to the below-the-belt insults on Facebook and Telegram, where Weber was described as a fascist and pedophile, among other things.

Organizer Florian Weber did not want to commit on Monday evening whether there would be another counter demo.

However, he was satisfied with the action he had initiated.

Ultimately, he did not expect any problems, Weber said in advance.

Police ask for registration

Vallentin, head of the Fürstenfeldbruck police station, concluded in her report: “The Fürstenfeldbruck police station was prepared and well equipped for the meeting on Monday.

Nevertheless, we appeal to the organizers of the unannounced meeting to report it in advance and to discuss the process with the authorities, as stipulated by the right of assembly. "
