Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel and Iranian Presidential Assistant for Economic Affairs Mohsen Rezaei stressed strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries to confront the unjust US embargo imposed on them.
The official website of the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that Canel and Rezaei held a meeting on the sidelines of the inauguration ceremony of Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega yesterday evening in Managua, where the two sides stressed the development and consolidation of cooperation in various economic fields, including health and the pharmaceutical industry.
Cuba has been facing a US economic embargo for nearly 60 years, while a US economic embargo was imposed on Iran after the United States unilaterally withdrew from the nuclear deal in 2018.
