An indictment was filed yesterday (Monday) against three residents of Ramla who systematically pocketed tens of thousands of shekels from elderly people in shopping centers.

The special unit for the investigation of crimes in the area of ​​humiliation began to secretly investigate the theft several weeks ago.

An analysis of the events revealed that the cell chose an older population as victims of pickpocketing in shopping centers and markets.

Investigators came to photograph the thefts from the security cameras and from them on a similar pattern of action and execution in all cases with each squad member having a defined role, starting with locating the victims and distracting them, performing the chase by another skillfully squad member and finally escaping quickly from the scene by a third squad member waiting outside stores. Towards immediate departure.

They later withdrew money using the stolen credit cards even before the victim noticed that he had been robbed.

At the end of the covert investigation, the cell was arrested about a week ago for questioning when their detention was extended from time to time in court.

As stated, the Prosecution Unit of the Israel Police in the Central District filed an indictment against the three yesterday, which includes 10 sections, along with a request for continued detention until the end of the proceedings.
