As soon as I arrived at this post, I made the home squat file one of my most urgent priorities.
These are unacceptable situations, very trying for the owners.
I saw that we had holes in the racket, brought to light by several shocking cases, and resolving them involved changing the law.
Article 38 of the Dalo law, which was therefore amended a year ago, allows any owner who is a victim of squatting in his home to recover his property through a simple administrative procedure without going through justice.
He can seize the prefect, who, after having noted the illegal occupation of his domicile - his main or secondary residence ...
