The South Korean Air Force announced today the crash of a F5E fighter jet on a mountain in Gyeonggi Province.
The South Korean news agency quoted a military source as saying that "the plane crashed on a mountain in the city of Hwaseong during its ascent after takeoff," noting that the condition of the pilot was not confirmed, and the cause of the accident was not clear.
The source added that the accident did not cause any damage because it took place in a mountainous area, and there were no explosives on board.
