The director of the Iranian Barakah Electronic Safety Company, Sayed Sajjad Morouji, announced that his country has acquired the technology to produce detection devices for infection with the omicron mutant.
Morouji said in a statement to the Iranian news agency (IRNA) today, "These devices are capable of detecting mutated strains of the Corona virus, including omicron, and they can also detect any new strains of the virus in the event of an outbreak in the future," explaining that the devices are capable of diagnosing infection with the omicron mutant during 15 minutes.
Promoters indicated that the current daily rate of production of these devices in the country amounts to 200 devices, indicating that Iran has thus joined the group of three countries that possess this technology in the world.
