Jungle Camp 2022: Trouble inevitable?

The jungle camp 2022 is in the starting blocks.

RTL's program planning is fixed - and that is exactly what could lead to discussions.

Cologne - soon maggots, worms and animal genitals will be on the menu again!

The jungle camp finally returns in January 2022.

After there was only one stripped-down jungle show from Cologne last year due to the corona pandemic, this year we will camp again in an exotic location.

However, in South Africa instead of the previous practice in Australia - and that despite Omikron.

Meanwhile, RTL is currently heating up the anticipation for the show.

Jungle Camp 2022: "IBES" steals RTL Direkt's broadcasting slot

TV viewers do not have to adjust to new broadcast times despite the lower time difference due to the move to South Africa. The kick-off is at 9:30 p.m., on January 22nd at 10:30 p.m., then the jungle glimpses go on every day at 10:15 p.m. until we meet again. However, the attentive RTL viewers will immediately notice that on some of these days another program actually has its usual place at the occupied airtime - and it actually runs live.

Because on RTL, the news magazine RTL Direkt runs for 20 minutes live from Berlin every week from Monday to Thursday at 10.15 p.m.

However, that is exactly the start time of the "IBES" episodes.

So that means RTL Direkt has to make room.

And the postponement of the broadcast slot could well cause trouble.

Because RTL Direkt is neither canceled, nor does the news show run before or after the jungle broadcast.

Much more she will run in the middle.

, Jan Hofer will present his program Monday to Thursday at 11.10 p.m. during the jungle camp time.

This is shortened to ten minutes instead of the usual 20 minutes.

Eight times the broadcaster will interrupt the jungle broadcast in the middle and deliver it to Berlin.

At 11.20 p.m. it's off the news and back to South Africa.

And this concept could cause a lot of trouble.

Daniel Hartwich and Sonja Zietlow will guide you through the jungle camp again in South Africa - but will have to regularly hand over to Jan Hofer in Berlin.

The jungle camp is not the only program that RTL interrupts for Hofer's show. The broadcaster has already resorted to this variant more frequently. Most recently on the new show “Summit of the Quiz Giants” - and because of the interruption, the audience was already very angry. When someone tweeted during the said show that this should also be the case with “IBES”, reactions like “So caustic. Sufficient as a preliminary run or afterwards ... or it pauses for two weeks. It's just annoying ". So it is quite possible that even during the jungle camp, other viewers will not be exactly enthusiastic about this measure.

The die-hard jungle fans are still looking forward to a new round of disgusting tests.
