Doctor Khoja explains to SANA Youth that the idea of ​​the initiative, which turned into a team, stemmed from the tangible reality and the challenges he experienced during his stay in the hospital, in addition to his desire for positive change in the field of scientific research for the health reality in Syria, noting that the initiative seeks to provide the necessary support to reduce the gap between caregivers. Health and stakeholders at all levels, which raises the level of competencies, services and health awareness in the community.

The medical team, which was established in April last year accompanying the International Day of Creativity and Innovation, aims, according to Mohammed Al-Hashemi, Program Director, to enhance personal skills and build the capacity of members to expand its tasks with well-thought-out monthly plans and external beneficiaries.

According to Al-Hashemi, the team carries out a number of scientific activities, including programs, sessions, and camps, benefiting 91 young men and women within different clubs, through which they present the basics and skills of presentation and recitation in writing scientific research, in addition to specialized workshops in this field.

He added that Rubik's Cube algorithms were taught to more than 38 young men from medical colleges from the first to sixth year at the "Projects" Center and the Beacon of the Community Governorate, indicating that this year's plans include expanding the workshops and preparing more content for advanced levels.

In turn, Dr. Mustafa Helou, Director of Content Development, pointed out that the team is also working on the research support program, which aims to contribute to providing the necessary support to spread the culture of scientific research, empower health care providers, and increase scientific publishing.

For her part, Communications Director Sarah Shabarek indicated that the (Mashabek) volunteer team seeks, through its initiative, to advance the academic reality of the university and help prepare an educated and effective youth generation.

It is noteworthy that the experimental establishment of the team was in the Al-Adania Club in the beacon of the community governorate for a period of 6 months in the second half of 2019 and then turned into the most comprehensive form in the year 2020. Students of medical faculties - pharmacy, human medicine, biotechnology engineering and dentistry, and the occupational health program will be launched in 2022.
