After investigation and legal advice, the Kwun Tong Police District Crime Squad arrested the 33-year-old man surnamed Li Hong Kong on January 3 and charged him with one count of "abuse or neglect of a child or young person in his custody" on the same day , the case will appear in Kwun Tong Magistrates' Courts tomorrow (12th).

The arrested man, an off-duty police officer, has been suspended.

It is understood that the police officer is stationed at the Criminal and Security Division of the Police Headquarters. He has separated from his wife and is currently living with his daughter and a worker. Earlier, he punished his daughter with a hanger for her homework problems. The daughter later disclosed and exposed the incident to her mother.
