Prime Minister Söder lays a funeral wreath in Oberammergau

Oberammergau - On December 11, 1998, the former Bavarian Prime Minister Dr. hc Max Streibl. He would have celebrated his 90th birthday on January 6, 2022. To honor this special anniversary, the Streibl family visited the grave in Oberammergau on Sunday afternoon with other politicians from state politics. Florian Streibl, son of Max Streibl did the same as his father and is himself in politics, in the government parliamentary group as the parliamentary group leader of the Free Voters in the Bavarian state parliament. From 1988 to 1993 Max Streibl held the office of Bavarian Prime Minister.
Prime Minister Dr. Markus Söder came to the St. Peter and Paul Church in Oberammergau to commemorate his deceased predecessor. Söder laid a funeral wreath at the grave. In addition to the Prime Minister, the Minister of State, Dr. Florian Herrmann, the President of the Bavarian State Parliament Ilse Aigner, as well as the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economic Affairs Hubert Aiwanger. District Administrator Anton Speer and the 1st Mayor Andreas Rödl of Oberammergau also honored this anniversary with a funeral wreath. To make the commemoration worthy, the local dean Thomas Gröner held a short prayer at the jubilee's grave. The Oberammergau brass band provided the musical accompaniment for the ceremony.
After the award, the big politicians went to a restaurant to sign in the golden book of the municipality of Oberammergau.
