Russia Today” website quoted the Western Military Department as saying in a statement that about 300 pieces of military equipment are participating in the exercises, including T-72B3 tanks, armored personnel carriers and various types of weapons.
The statement indicated that the aim of these exercises is to improve combat coordination between different formations, raise the professional level of their personnel, and train in using new methods and tactics to perform combat missions in modern battle conditions.
He pointed out that the focus will be on shooting with light firearms and armored vehicles, and organizing marches in the context of attacks by reconnaissance and sabotage teams of the imaginary enemy.
