Markus Söder's cabinet met on further corona measures.
The new resolutions were presented at a press conference.
An overview.
Munich - On Friday, the Bund-Länder-Round decided on further measures in the corona pandemic.
On Tuesday (January 11th) the cabinet around Prime Minister Markus Söder (CSU) met to implement the rules in Bavaria.
The results were then announced at a press conference.
What will apply in the future in the Free State?
An overview.
The 15th Ordinance on the Protection of Infection Measures will be extended until February 9th.
It originally expired on January 12, but has to be extended beforehand.
The new resolutions will therefore come into force tomorrow, as State Chancellor Florian Herrmann (CSU) said.
Corona in Bavaria: Söder goes Sonderweg - 2G instead of 2G-Plus rule in gastronomy
In Bavaria, the 2G rule remains in the catering industry, the 2G plus rule will not be implemented "as of today".
In addition to the Free State, only Saxony deviates from the federal-state line.
Clubs, discos and bars remain completely closed.
Corona rules in Bavaria: There is no obligation to test immediately after the booster vaccination
For people with a Corona booster vaccination, the additional test obligation in 2G-plus areas will no longer apply immediately after the booster vaccination and not after two weeks.
There is also a corresponding relief for people with complete basic immunization who have subsequently survived a corona infection, i.e. for people with a so-called breakthrough vaccination.
For these, too, there is no obligation to submit an additional test in 2G-plus areas (e.g. theaters, cinemas).
Resolved at the cabinet meeting: These corona rules apply to quarantine and isolation
In addition, Bavaria is implementing the shortening of corona quarantine and isolation agreed by the federal and state governments: The duration of isolation for infected people and quarantine for close contact persons will generally be ten days in the future.
After seven days, free testing with a negative PCR or antigen rapid test is possible - although you have to be symptom-free for at least 48 hours after an infection.
For employees in clinics and retirement homes, for example, a PCR test is mandatory to end quarantine and isolation, or negative rapid tests must be submitted daily for five days.
Schoolchildren as well as daycare and kindergarten children who have to be in quarantine as contact persons will in future be able to test themselves free using a PCR or antigen rapid test after just five days.
In addition, the rules for contact persons who have a booster vaccination, have been newly vaccinated twice, have been vaccinated and have recovered or have recently recovered, will be changed - as soon as the federal government has implemented the necessary legal changes.
Herrmann named Friday or Saturday as a possible time.
These then no longer have to be quarantined.
So far, contact persons of a person infected with the Omikron variant have been quarantined for 14 days, without the chance to test themselves.

Corona in Bavaria: exception rule for schoolchildren extended
Students who are regularly tested for a corona infection in school continue to be exempt from the obligation to provide evidence.
The exception applies to hotels and restaurants, but also to sporting, musical or acting activities, said the head of the Bavarian State Chancellery, Florian Herrmann, on Tuesday in Munich.
