If the number of new corona infections increases sharply, Saxony-Anhalt wants to find individual solutions for schools depending on the failure of teachers and students.
If around 25 percent of the teachers at a school are not available or well over 50 percent of the students are ill, individual classes or schools should switch to distance learning, said Minister of Education Eva Feussner (CDU) on Tuesday in Magdeburg.
Magdeburg - Individual solutions would have to be found because the schools could no longer generally be closed.
On Monday, after the three-week Christmas break, classes in the schools started again.
Students are tested every day of school for the first two weeks and must wear a mask.
In addition, compulsory attendance applies.
This gives a good overview of the situation, said Minister of Education Feussner.
She expects the first results on the infection process on Friday.
The measures would then be adapted according to the situation.

Meanwhile, vaccinations in schools should continue, said the minister.
In December, some schools took advantage of the offer that vaccination teams from the districts vaccinate pupils.
She didn't have exact numbers, said Feussner.
"Because it got off to a good start, we will run this vaccination campaign again until the February vacation."
Lessons are part of the school - but also class trips.
And, according to Feussner, they are still allowed.
"The schools have been informed that they can only book trips that they can cancel free of charge 14 days in advance."
"I know the schools are currently very cautious about class trips anyway." Dpa
