The most generous: Café des Ministères
The place:
Taken over at the end of 2019 by chef Jean Sévégnes and his wife Roxane, this bistro located on the outskirts of the Palais Bourbon does not shine with its decor, a little dated, in shades of gray, brown and blue.
But the warmth is elsewhere: in the welcome, the generosity of the portions and the comfort of bourgeois recipes.
Its success, especially with neighborhood customers (but not only!) Is not deceiving.
Vol-au-vent:
It is undoubtedly the star of the menu, with a recipe that changes slightly with the seasons.
This winter, it arrives, spectacular and rich, with its scent of grated
Tuber melanosporum
, overflowing with large pieces of crispy sweetbread, bathed in a delicious creamy sauce and truffle juice.
The puff pastry model also hides spinach, button mushrooms and nice pieces of poultry.
Note, a version garnished with roasted lobster at 61 € offered as a dish of the day.
