by Marcel Duchamp, dating from 1919, representing the Mona Lisa wearing an elegant mustache, symbol of the ready-made, throne in a good position at the headquarters of the French Communist Party.

Under the famous white dome designed by Oscar Niemeyer in eastern Paris, part of the history of twentieth century art takes place on the winding picture rails.

100 years of history between artists and the

PCF

brings together some 120 works by artists who have lived through political and aesthetic revolutions.

Even if the lighting is not as sophisticated as that of a museum, one can admire among these treasures, the paintings of Fernand Léger, one of the pioneers of modern art.

Or this miniature bronze bust of Simone de Beauvoir made by Giacometti in 1946.
