Acute coalition crisis in the Knesset:
MK Mansour Abbas announced this evening (Tuesday) that he will not vote with the coalition as long as planting continues in the Negev. The move, for his part, insists on continuing planting and announced that he does not intend to stop the move.

The JNF's planting event has long angered the Arab residents of the Negev, who see it as a threat and takeover of territories they believe they own. For the Israeli government, this is a Zionist project designed to strengthen Israeli governance in the Negev and prevent crime and trespass. It should be noted that the Bedouin Settlement Authority in the Negev has been working with the residents of the area and the government for many years, but as stated, the matter has not been fully resolved so far.
Abbas, whose party enjoys strong support from the Negev Arab-Bedouin public, said: "I can not continue to live with it. Let them implement the outline for settlement. If not, I can not continue. I have already suffered harder things, but when shot directly into my chest I can not stand the Negev.
I demand to stop planting and enter an accelerated process of the series in three to four areas.
"Until that happens, we will not vote with the coalition."
