Carrie Lam announced that face-to-face classes in kindergartens and primary schools will be suspended until the end of the Lunar New Year holiday. After classes resume, injections will be arranged at the school. The Education Bureau will announce the arrangement later.

Reopening Vaccine Centers to Expand Vaccination Capacity
Carrie Lam pointed out that the government hopes to increase the vaccination rate. It can be seen from the recent confirmed cases that people who have not been vaccinated have a higher virus load.
She said that since the announcement of the implementation of the vaccine bubble last week, the public's desire for injections has increased, and the number of citizens who have received the first injection has increased significantly. The current first injection rate is 74.7%. Wan, if this trend is maintained until February 24, the vaccination rate can increase by 13 percentage points to 87.7%, which is close to 90%.
She continued to point out that the government needs to increase the injection capacity. Currently, 1.3 million doses can be administered a month, an increase of 30% from the previous day.
Lam pointed out that the government has announced earlier that the Education Bureau Kowloon Tong Education Service Center and Kowloon Bay Sports Centre will open two vaccination centers on the 21st of this month.
She further announced today that the Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Park Sports Centre and the Boundary Street Sports Centre will reopen at the end of this month, which means there will be 14 community vaccination centres in Hong Kong by then.
She also pointed out that the Department of Health has been requested to open 15 elderly health centers for vaccination of the elderly. At present, there are 18 elderly health centers in Hong Kong, and the environment of the remaining 3 is not suitable for vaccination.
