Over the last few years the big companies have been doing everything in their power to make the consoles accessible to players with disabilities.

Sony, for example, has started allowing some of its games, such as The Last of Us, a huge selection of options in its accessibility menu, which can, for example, also allow the visually impaired to play and enjoy through various adjustments.

So even though Sony has not yet developed an official accessory that will help amputee players play on its console, a YouTuber named Akaki Kuumeri decided to lift the reins: he took the PlayStation 5's DualSense remote and created an accessory that allows players to play on the console with just one hand.

The accessory actually wears on the DualSense remote and offers a support mechanism that helps players control the stick, in addition to the arrow buttons on the D-pad and even the L1 \ L2 buttons.

The creator even demonstrated in the video how complicated moves can be made in shooting games that require players to press L2 and then R2 to shoot.

Kuumeri demonstrates in the video how to play games like GTA V, Yakuza, It Take Two and Rocket League using the handy accessory and explains how to dress it on the remote.

Kuumeri printed the accessory using a 3D printer, and also uploaded the design to a network that is

available for

free download for the convenience of users.

Microsoft, for its part, has developed the Adatpive Controller - a special control controller for Xbox consoles that allows people with special needs, disabilities and inability to play and enjoy its games.

So even though the adapter is not considered an official Sony product, such accessories are exactly what is required from the big companies in order for them to overcome obstacles and make their consoles and games accessible to everyone, including players with various disabilities.

As mentioned, The Last of Us' accessibility menu for the first time also allowed visually impaired players to play Sony's AAA game, and this is an important step that allowed accessibility that was not previously available for those gamers.

Feel free to watch the reaction of Steve Sailor, a visually impaired gamer, and see how important this support is for those players.
