Since the launch of his party, the former head of government sought to aspire to Agir, a component of the presidential majority since 2017. But Franck Riester was rather reluctant, despite his presence at the launch of Horizons, in Le Havre, last October.
He just aspires to a simple rapprochement, even if several Agir executives have joined Horizons, like the deputy for Paris Pierre-Yves Bournazel.

Several sources point to the responsibility of the Elysee.
While Emmanuel Macron recently spoke with Franck Riester, the head of state would not be in favor of such a merger.
