A terrible collision between a bus and a car in the Republic of South Africa killed 12 people and injured others.

The South African Ministry of Transport and Community Safety said in a statement carried by local media that the accident occurred in the city of Limpopo and was caused by a driver losing control of it because one of its tires exploded.

The ministry indicated that "the bus caught fire and eleven passengers were trapped inside, as well as the driver of the car was killed, while six people were seriously injured and two were slightly injured, and the rest of the passengers survived."

The ministry asked drivers to be careful and check their cars before using them due to the recent number of collisions.
