In the arm wrestling game, Emmanuel Macron has just won a round over Edouard Philippe. The former Prime Minister, who launched his Horizons party last October, will not be able to rely on Agir. The center-right party, founded in 2017 by Deputy Minister Franck Riester (Foreign Trade and Attractiveness), refused its outstretched hand. The merger demanded by the mayor of Le Havre was ruled out on Tuesday evening during a re-entry meeting of the political leadership of Agir.

Ironically, Édouard Philippe had refused to join Agir at the time of its creation.
