Erding - In May 2019, the senior counseling opened with Silke Hörold-Ries as senior representative in the House of Encounters.
In conversations with the senior citizens, Ms. Hörold-Ries noticed that the demand for a face-to-face meeting point was very often expressed by people who live alone in an apartment or house.
Many older citizens are looking for new contacts, but they needed a place, a contact point, where they can meet each other.
In August, just a few months later, the senior active meeting opened in the House of Encounters on the Rätschenbach.
Seniors can enter barrier-free access to the House of Encounter as the ideal place to strengthen social interaction and thus counteract old age loneliness.
The elderly citizens of the city meet there once a week.
If you like, you can take part in the informal exchange from 9 a.m., make contacts or read the daily newspaper.
Interesting readings, lectures, guided tours and information events take place from 11 a.m.

• January 17th: Dieter Mühlbauer introduces the German Heart Foundation and explains interesting facts about blood pressure
• February 14th: Health lecture with Silke Zotter "Drink with pleasure - stay fit"
• March 28: Ute Köller from the self-help center in Munich provides information about self-help groups
Spring 2022:
• Michael Klinger from the District Office gives "tips and tricks for gardening in spring"
• Counseling center of Kripo Erding provides information on all aspects of burglary protection
• Care support point from the Erding District Office answers questions about the need for care and aging.
